What better way to start this blog than with a Thank You!

This month marks the six month anniversary of the true opening of Inspire Living. As you can tell, we are still small and discovering ourselves. I thank you personally for helping make these first six months one remarkable journey.

I started with a simple idea: I wanted to make thoughtfulness affordable, accessible, simple, and different. I was sick of all the negativity and defensiveness, which seemed to be perpetuated and exacerbated by the anonymity of social media. I wanted to bring friendship back to being personal.

Over the last six months, I’ve been fortunate enough to be involved in all of your stories. This Etsy adventure has woven me into bridal showers, memorials for lost children, support for teenage parents, friends seeking forgiveness, friends being friends, and people seeking self support. You have contributed so much to my creative journey. I never anticipated being a part of your journey as well.

In addition to donating to a local charity that supports children with pediatric cancer, a charity that I have donated to is one called Lunges for Lungs, a cause started for the niece, Mallory, of a dear friend. This cause is inspirational to me on so many levels. Mallory is a symbol of courage, of bravery, and of strength. Her family’s persistence, their fight and their hope for her and others stricken by Cystic Fibrosis, is so awe inspiring and really beyond words.

And my dear friend, who showed such selfless and unconditional support for his sister and her family, lives life with boundless energy and a genuine heart and reminded me again of why I admire him so much and of the person I strive to be and become.

Thank you to each of you as you helped me donate $1000.00 of profits in Mallory’s honor in this holiday season. Wishing the best to you and yours.
